About Net Notary

So, you want to be a licensed notary public? Go ahead with your plan, no one's stopping you. Plus, the whole process that you'll have to pass is simple:

1) You just need to gather all the basic requirements. This is definitely easy as you've done this a couple of times before when you we're still applying for school. Take note also that in some states, this is the only step a person needs to go by to become a notary. Some states will just require you to gather all the requirements, fill out a form and then wait for that form to be approved.

2) But in other states, like in California, before a person can become a licensed notary, he/she needs to complete a 6-hour seminar prior to taking the notary exam and of course, pass that exam. Obviously, your next step is to find a good school that provides notary classes and seminars.

3) Pass the exam. The interesting thing about the notary exam is that it only requires you to get 70% to pass. This means that you can miss up to 9 questions out of 30 and still pass. What could be easier than that?

By the way, before you enroll and pay for a 6-hour notary seminar, let us remind you that you need to be specific first with your aim of becoming a notary. Why? It's because there are specifically two types of notaries. The first one is the basic notary -- the one whose primary role is to serve the public as an impartial witness when important documents are signed. The other type of notary is the “certified loan agent”.

This may sound a little awkward but go ahead and don't hesitate to live your notary public dream!
